#TBT On June 27, 1964, an estimated crowd of 100,000 gathered in Washington, DC to witness former President Dwight D. Eisenhower dedicate the Taras Shevchenko Memorial for freedom-loving Ukrainians worldwide. This November 7, 2015, an equally momentous memorial dedication will take place in the heart of Washington, DC. Please plan to join us for this historic occasion, alongside U.S. and Ukrainian government representatives as well as foreign ambassadors and dignitaries. Your local Ukrainian community leaders may have already started chartering buses from your area. As the world keeps trying to forget about the events in Ukraine, our public gathering just 4 blocks from the Capitol building can remind them that Ukraine knows well the opponent we are facing and the horrors that we can face when the world turns its back on us.
