Now with summer unofficially coming to a close, we are actively preparing for next week's "Ukrainian Days of Advocacy" in Washington, DC. The two-day event will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, September 16-17, 2015. This is a very important event for the Ukrainian community as we focus on Ukraine's security and Euro-Atlantic integration. Our goal in the advocacy event is to seek support for Ukraine's immediate needs - military assistance; economic assistance; increased sanctions against Russia; humanitarian assistance for Ukraine's 1.3 million internally displaced persons; and, support for the UCCA's International Elections Observers. We still have room to accommodate more attendees at this session, including our meeting at the State Department, but you'll need to contact the Ukrainian National Information Service in Washington, DC, as quickly as you can so that they can arrange for a meeting with your Member of Congress. Attached please find information regarding the schedule of events for this year's third "Ukrainian Days of Advocacy" event. A registration form is also attached. Please fill out your forms promptly as registration closes on Friday, September 11th. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO HAVE YOUR COMMUNITY REPRESENTED IN WASHINGTON FOR THIS ADVOCACY EVENT! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact UNIS at 202 547-0018, or by e-mail at unis@ucca.org.
